May 1, 2000: Finally, after a long time in the shadows here are some great news from PROPHANITY. The band decided to kick vocalist Carl-Johan Sörman out of the band as it didn´t work out as planned. After that guitarist Nicklas Magnusson also decided to leave. Now a half year later the band is back in business. The original singer Mathias "Farbaute" Järrebring has re-joined the force. Planned this autumn is a studio-visit to record a split-album with IMMEMOREAL. The result will be 5 songs from each band, 3 new, 1 old re-recorded demo and one cover. Prepare for the ultimate attack!

PROPHANITY recorded an unofficial demotape for the labels and promotion.
The result was great! The new songs combined with new singer & basist makes
the new material the best the band have ever released! Watch out for the
new album, it will crush EVERYTHING in its way!

August 26, 1999: Basist Robert has quit the
band. After considering it for a time he decided to leave the music-scene.
He is replaced by Christian Aho (Immemoreal/Archangel) who will play
the bass on the forthcoming album.

July 28, 1999: PROPHANITY has re-booked Los Angered Recording. The new album will be recorded in September instead of June as earlier mentioned.

March 31, 1999: The album "Stronger Than Steel" is now released in North America on Metal Blade.

February 25, 1999: The tour with OPETH & HECATE ENTHRONED never became reality. Hopefully another tour will arranged during autumn. For other gigs watch the tourdates page.

January 21, 1999: PROPHANITY has recruited Carl-Johan Sörman as the new singer.

January 21, 1999: The band will enter Los Angered Recording again in June to record the follow up to "Stronger Than Steel".

October 8, 1998: Swedish headbangers can see PROPHANITY headlining a concert in Stockholm called Skärseld, November 21. Fredrik Arnesson (ABLAZE MY SORROW) will help doing the vocals. The other bands on the bill are: ANCIENT´S REBIRTH, THYRFING, T.A.R., NOMINON, INSISION & CRYPTIC ART! Tickets can be bought from Heathendoom Music or Sound Pollution. June 1, 1998: "Stronger Than Steel", the band´s first fullength album is now released on Blackend/PHD. If you can´t find it at your local shop you can order it directly from Plastic Head. It will also be released in North America by Metal Blade March 1.
